Whether the wider anime community wants to admit it or not, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann made plenty of otakus crave fan service. For a show that’s technically not a fanservice-oriented anime, it sure as hell seems like it at times. Yoko parading around in her flame bikini and booty shorts is the reason why many a young boy lost his innocence. And if you were one of those lads, then Good Smile Company’s Yoko POP UP PARADE figure was meant for you!
Why Good Smile Company’s Yoko POP UP PARADE Figure Makes Me Happy
I must admit that I’ve never seen Gurren Lagann, and since mecha anime bore me to the point of wanting to cancel my life subscription, I never will. That has never stopped me from hoarding Yoko merch like Smaug from The Hobbit hoards gold. And can you blame me? Yoko is the PERFECT level of THICK!!!
Anthony Bourdain once said, “Your body isn’t a temple; it’s an amusement park.” That may not be true for mine, but by the gods, it’s true for Yoko’s. Every inch of her is seduction incarnate — puni puni thighs, a toned back and stomach, easy-going expressions, perfectly sized oppai, and an ass so round there’s a song about it (probably). And thanks to GSC, Maouji (sculptor), and Tomofumi (color production), I can swoon over all those qualities with the Yoko POP UP PARADE figure.
Maouji’s sculpting work in this figure is glorious. From the groove of Yoko’s ass to the muscles on her back and the creases of her hair — everything is eye-catching. And since this figure leans heavily on affordability, Mao-chi’s work merits double appreciation. Usually, a 6.68″ (170 mm) figure this stunningly sexy will batter your wallet. Thankfully, the Yoko POP UP PARADE figure retails for $39.50, so get it! Get it now, it’s in stock and selling out fast!
Yoko’s figure includes a clear base and 78 reward points.
What’s Gurren Lagann About?
Long after humanity has abandoned Earth’s surface, Kamina and Simon spend the first years of their lives living a troglodytic existence. But after stumbling on a giant robot and holding their own during a surprise battle, the boys and their new companion, Yoko Littner, find themselves on the fabled surface. After the trio finds themselves with the sky overhead, a battle-filled adventure unlike anything they could have imagined waits for them on the horizon.
Gurren Lagann is part of Crunchyroll’s catalog! Make sure to watch it or rewatch it after buying the Good Smile Company Yoko POP UP PARADE figure.
