Summer’s grasp has long started to fade. The coolness of the air and an earlier night’s embrace remind you that, of all the things that change the most in this life, time is the most constant. The trees around you are beginning to lose their green. And the long expanses of now bracken wheat sway in with the wind. The mountains in the distance wear a crown of white, a precursor of what will soon arrive. Next to you in your cart, your companion’s tail and ears sway as if the wind drove them. Although you can’t measure the moment in wealth, you know it’s invaluable. While you can’t recreate this, you can buy the Good Smile Company Pop Up Parade Holo 2024 version figure. And that’s kinda the same thing.
The GSC Holo 2024 Version Figure Perfectly Captures Holo
The Pop Up Parade Holo 2024 version figure is as affordable as the figure is amiable. For just $33, you can own a harvest god, which is especially useful during this season. Sculpted by Cub, this 6.6″ figure features the coy Holo in Lawrence’s best clothes. Holo’s smile is positively radiant and demands your attention. Her long, flowing skirt and auburn, wavy hair evoke the essence of autumn with a single glance.
Holo’s personality shines in this figure; from her elegant tail to her hands grasping an apple behind her back to her pose, it’s perfection. One would think you could only pray to harvest gods before you reap your crop. But you need their blessing before you sow as well. And what better person to bless you this upcoming year than the Wise Wolf Holo? The hues and paint make Holo look so realistic that you’d think she’d be about to howl at you. So, kudos to Yotaru Taniguchi for doing one hell of a job on that.
The magic of our world decreases each day. We used to understand that everything’s interconnectivity deserved reverence, but that understanding has long started to fade. I firmly believe this is why so many of us struggle so much with mental health issues. The highest bidder commercializes and sells the things that make this world beautiful. Sometimes, you need something to remind you of better times so that you can keep pushing forward. And the Pop Up Parade Holo 2024 version figure can help you with that.
What’s Spice & Wolf About?
Set in a time before monotheistic religion conquered the land, Spice & Wolf may seem like a cozy little anime about a merchant and a pseudo-harvest god, but it’s so much more. Capturing the magic of pre-colonized lands and romance in a way that few other works of art have, Ookami to Koushinryou is not only a must-watch for anime fans but for everyone. Sometimes, adventure isn’t a grand endeavor filled with the mystically unknown. Usually, it’s a long, winding road that leads you to a home you’ve long been absent from. Sometimes, it’s more about coming to terms with yourself than finding a land you’re yearning for. Spice & Wolf nails that sentiment in both the original and remake anime.
Studio Passione animated the 2024 Ookami to Koushinryou remake. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf is an adaptation of the novel from Isuna Hasekura (story) and Juu Ayakura (art).
