Good Smile Arts Shanghai’s utterly kawaii Cheshire Summer Date scale figure is coming to us this May, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Why, you ask? Don’t worry, I’m about to tell you. At the ripe ol’ past-my-prime age of 30ish, I’ve seen way too many “once-in-a-lifetime events.” And each of those is progressively getting more concerning. Hell, snow blankets Mississippi as I write this. That means that I lived long enough to see hell freeze over. That’s a thought so emotionally disturbing I need comfort. And what’s more comforting than a sexy waifu with cat ears?

The Cheshire Summer Date Figure — Beachside Vibes
Featuring the ever-alluring and playfully kawaii Royal Navy Heavy Cruiser from Azur Lane, this RXCC sculpted figure brings the best of summer. Expected to ship in May, this figure will set you back $190, but with all its accessories, it’s well worth it. The base of the Cheshire Summer Date figure models an outdoor lounge chair and includes two support chicks. Cheshire sports a purple, flower-themed two-piece bikini and a transparent shawl. Her relaxed pose gives way to a stretch as she winks and smiles at you.
While technically “safe for work,” Cheshire’s string bikini top leaves little to the imagination as her ample and luscious bosom peaks back at you. The flower ornaments in her ears and the streaks of blue in her beautiful dark hair bolster her playful expression. And most importantly, her fang is on full display! Such care went into this figure that even Cheshire’s nails are perfectly manicured and painted.
For a 1/7 scale figure sitting down, the Cheshire Summer Date figure still has an impressive height of 7.1” (18 cm). RXCC made sure to show off all of Cheshire’s muscles as her stretch accentuated all of her muscles. Looking at the figure from the back shows how toned she is, as her graceful back arcs without any excess flab. And that’s an aspect of anyone’s body that brings joy. What’s Azur Lane About?
Created by Manjuu and Yongshi, Azur Lane is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up mobile video game featuring highly lewdable anthropomorphized ship girls as playable characters. Based on World War II ships, the game pits players against several opponents and encourages them to level up their characters. BiliBili launched the game in China in 2017, but it now includes a global server with several language options (English, Taiwanese, and Japanese).
Since its release, Azur Lane has received a light novel and several manga adaptations. The franchise also includes a 3D PC/PS4 game, Azur Lane Crosswave. It has also received a twelve-episode Bibury Animation Studios twelve-episode TV anime based on the original game. Studio Candy Box also animated the Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! TV adaptation of the slice-of-life 4-koma manga of the same name. Both titles, including the Yostar animated two-episode OVA, Azur Lane: Queen’s Orders, are streaming on Crunchyroll. The company has released many collaborations and glorious collectibles, including the GSM Cheshire Summer Date figure.
