Feeling the nostalgia wave? The popular 90s series franchise Yu Yu Hakusho will return next year—and this is something worth getting especially if the series was part of your childhood.
A special Yu Yu Hakusho Blu-ray box set will be released to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. This has a big bonus: a new anime special will be released along with it!
Just to give you guys a little background on the franchise, the anime series is based on the manga of the same name created by Yoshihiro Togashi, also the creator of Hunter X Hunter. The story centres around a teenage boy named Yusuke Urameshi who lost his life after getting hit by a car while saving a child’s life. He was then allowed to return to the living world but has the ability to see demons and spirits. Aside from this, Yusuke now has the role of “Underworld Detective” where he solves cases related to spirits and other creatures wreaking havoc in the human world.
The anime series began airing from October 1992 until December 1994 in Japan with a total of 112 episodes. The manga originally ran monthly in the Weekly Shonen Jump from December 1990 to July 1994.

Twenty-five years is really something. Although there is still no exact date for its release, it’s time get saving for a precious gem like this wouldn’t really last long on the online and physical shop shelves.
