Your Forma Dives into the Mind to Solve Crimes

Specialized technology saved the world from a viral brain disease and has become integral to everyday life. However, this technology’s strength hides a vulnerability: hackers can infiltrate people’s brains. One such electronic investigator explores memories to solve crimes. She’s a bit too good at it, so the brass decided to partner her with an android. We’ll see how they get along when Your Forma premieres sometime in April 2025.

Mareho Kikuishi and Tsubata Nozaki released the original Your Forma light novel on March 10th, 2021. ASCII Media Works has since published six volumes in the Dengeki Bunko imprint.

The new, odd inspector couple is as follows:

Echika Hieda — Kana Hanazawa (Ichika Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets). A genius with exceptional processing abilities. Echika is the youngest person to ever become an electronic inspector.
Harold W. Lucraft — Kensho Ono (Giorno Giovanna from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure). A high-performance Amicus-type android. He becomes Echika’s new partner.

A viral encephalitis pandemic struck the world in 1992. A life-saving “smart thread” procedure introduced the miraculous technology known as Your Forma. By 2023, this technology has improved to information terminals that everyone uses. It’s a part of everyone’s daily lives. However, these terminals record every byte of information a person experiences, from sights, sounds, memories, and emotions. Electronic investigators tap into these devices to solve crimes and protect victims.

Echika Hieda is a remarkably skilled electronic investigator. Her determination to solve crimes pushes her to link with more victims than her colleagues. Those who try to keep up with her end up fried in the effort. This has led Echika to become isolated from her fellow officers. Her superiors assigned the android Harold W. Lucraft as her new partner. These two must work together to combat a deadly technological infection before it can claim lives.
