Fighting games are no stranger to unexpected crossovers. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter have clashed with DC and Capcom protagonists before. This time, Chun-Li, one of the top-tier waifus from Street Fighter, is sparring with Yor Forger, the waifu from SPY x FAMILY. Unfortunately, this is only a collaboration event for Street Fighter 6 and SPY x FAMILY CODE: White, as discussed in July. Wit Studio animated the match, and they did an incredible job. The trailer is available both in English and Japanese.
Tatsuya Endo began to write and illustrate SPY x FAMILY on March 25th, 2019. Shueisha has since released twelve volumes in the Jump Comics+ imprint and Shonen Jump+ magazine. Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto created the first Street Fighter game, which Capcom released on August 30th, 1987. Chun-Li made her debut in Street Fighter II on February 6th, 1991.

Wit Studio’s Collaborative Talents
Producers from Production I.G founded the studio on June 1st, 2012. Wit Studio has worked on some of the best anime series of this decade. This studio’s works exist all over the industry and defy genres. Wit Studio is working with CloverWorks to animate SPY x FAMILY. The same studio animated the Fate/Samurai Remnant opening, different entries in the Pokémon franchise, Suicide Squad ISEKAI, and Onipan!. Wit Studio’s peerless work takes them across genres and projects.
Assassin VS. Interpol Agent
Who else to lead this collaboration event but the Best Girl of SPY x FAMILY and the Best Girl of Street Fighter. The short and sweet animation pits these two world-class fighters in a friendly match. They’re about evenly matched, and I have no doubt that fans of both series will argue as to who should win. Discussions might even be held to discuss their actual power levels. All that ignores the point that two world-class beauties stepped into an arena, and Wit Studio animated some very convenient camera angles.
The collaboration event will begin on January 9th, 2024. SPY x FAMILY items will appear in Street Fighter 6, but no exact details as to what these items are have been announced. Capcom would be fools to not give Chun-Li a Yor Forger costume set.
