Miyu and Tani are back to continue their rom-com adventures! These two couldn’t be more opposite; Tani stays quiet and speaks honestly, while Miyu acts stylish and follows expectations instead of her own desires. Miyu finally makes a move when they leave school later than everyone else. We’ll see how close they become when You and I Are Polar Opposites (Seihantai na Kimi to Boku) Season 2 premieres on July 5th, 2026.
No girlfriend? No problem! April 14 is Black Day in South Korea, when single men mark the occasion by eating black noodles. They missed out on Valentine’s Day chocolate on February 14 and had no one to give white chocolate to on White Day, March 14, so April 14 is their day! You and I Are Polar Opposites. We Can Still Date, Right?
Miyu Suzuki is a bright and energetic gyaru girl. She’s typically the life of the party and friends with almost everyone around. In reality, she regularly forces herself to join her friends for fast-food outings even though she’d rather go home and do her homework. Miyu works hard to maintain her image and her place in the social hierarchy. Despite that, she takes a keen interest in Yusuke Tani, someone who is her exact opposite. He’s quiet, plain-looking, and honest.

She regularly peppers him with questions about topics that wouldn’t interest him, such as makeup and how best to entertain a music crowd. Yusuke gives disinterested replies every time, but that is enough for Miyu. She wants to talk to him without jeopardizing her social standing. Things come to a head after a friend of a friend sees them walking home together. She dismisses it in public, which Yusuke hears and assumes is a complete dismissal of interest in him. Miyu tosses her fears aside and quickly confesses her feelings.
