Unnamed Memory has a brave prince and a cute witch, and there’s as much mystery as cute moments. It’s a classic fairy tale that fans of the genre may start getting hyped to watch when it premieres sometime in 2024. That sounds like an unbearably long time, but studio ENGI released a trailer to keep us occupied until then.
A home page and an official Twitter page have been set up to promote Unnamed Memory. Series updates, behind-the-scenes information, and bonuses, such as Key Visuals, can be found there.
The Witch of the Azure Moon
Unnamed Memory follows the tale of a prince and his last hope of happiness: a witch. Prince Oscar (voiced by Yoshiki Nakajima) of the Farseth Kingdom is suffering from a curse inherited from his father. The Witch of Silence cast a spell that no woman would ever survive siring a child of the Farseth family. Few knew of this, and none could find a way to undo the curse.
Oscar grew up honing his skills to inherit the throne. He also seeks to ensure that no one will ever suffer his own mother’s fate. So it was that when he grew up to become a strong and noble prince, he ventured out to find the Witch of the Azure Moon Tinasha (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki). She and the Witch of Silence are two of the last five remaining witches in the world. Their power is beyond compare. The Witch of the Azure Moon is said to grant wishes to those who successfully navigate her castle and reach her. She is perhaps Oscar’s last chance of saving not just his life but also saving any woman he would dare to love.
