Originally launched on a Japanese novel website in 2012 by Kei Azumi, the TSUKIMICHI novel was eventually picked up and printed with illustrations by Matsumoto Mitsuaki in 2015. As of April 2018, the series had reached fourteen released volumes before it went on hiatus for two years. The fifteenth volume will be released in Japan on October 23rd, 2020. The story of the series centers on the hero named Makoto Misumi who was summoned into a new world by the god Tsukuyomi. Unfortunately, when Makoto arrives, he is cast to the edge of the world by a goddess who deems him unworthy of being a hero. Tsukuyomi declares Makoto free to find his way in the world.
