Riichiro Inagaki (Dr. Stone) and Ryoichi Ikegami (Crying Freeman) released the original Trillion Game manga series on December 11th, 2020. Shogakukan has since published nine volumes in Big Comic Superior.
The tech genius, his smooth-talking friend, and one of their cute friends are as follows:
- Manabu “Gaku” Taira — Shoya Ishige (Yusaku Fujiki in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS). A shy but brilliant computer otaku who is the brains behind the face.
- Haru Tennoji — Takeo Otsuka (Aquamarine Hoshino in Oshi no Ko). A charismatic and greedy man who teams up with Gaku to make enough money to secure a lifetime of wealth.
- Kirika Kokuryu — M・A・O (Fumika Sagisawa from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls). The board director of Dragon Bank allies with Gaku and Haru.
The studio Madhouse has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Trillion Game. You can find additional series information and the Key Visuals there. Two players are winning.
Winning the Trillion Game
Two junior high school students who couldn’t be more different have a fateful encounter. Manabu “Gaku” Taira is a shy, introverted student with computer skills beyond his years. Haru Tennoji is a charismatic student who fights as skillfully as he flirts. Their collaboration begins when Haru defends Gaku from bullies, and Gaku erases the security footage of a truly brutal beatdown. This sets the stage for a lasting friendship.
Years later, Gaku’s lack of communication skills caused his rejection at every interview. In contrast, Haru passed the same interviews with flying colors. Haru quits the coveted Dragon Bank job and meets Gaku on the window-washing platform to propose founding their own company. They subsequently create Trillion Game, Inc. to earn one trillion yen and be set for the rest of their lives.
