A wild, short-tempered guy discovers his origins as his adopted father fell before him. He inherited the blood of the mythical Oni and has become a target of fierce hunters simply for existing. His quest for revenge has only just begun. We’ll see how he avenges his father when Tougen Anki premieres sometime in July 2025.
Yura Urushibara released the original Tougen Anki manga series on June 11th, 2020. Akita Shoten has since published 22 volumes in Weekly Shonen Champion.
Three of the leading Oni are as follows:
- Shiki Ichinose — Kazuki Ura (Osamu Rojihara from Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens). An Oni raised by a Momotaro. His power awakened when he saw his adopted father cut down by another Momotaro.
- Naito Mudano — Hiroshi Kamiya (Ataru Moroboshi from Urusei Yatsura). An instructor at an academy dedicated to teaching Oni to safely harness their powers.
- Kuina Sazanami — Aimi (Yuko Ozawa from Jujutsu Kaisen). An obsessive Oni girl who shows heavy-handed affection.

An Ancient Blood Feud Rages in Tougen Anki
Shiki Ichinose is a rough and confrontational delinquent who takes pride in angering his teachers. His easy-going life ended after a mysterious warrior appeared and fought his father, Tsuyoshi. Samidare Momoya is a Momotaro, someone dedicated to eliminating Oni. Tsuyoshi gave his life to protect Shiki, explained the war between the Oni and Momotaro, and urged him to become strong.
Shiki’s Oni awakening summoned another Oni, Naito Mudano, a teacher at the Rakshasa Academy. Shiki won’t be able to save himself, much less avenge his father, if he can’t control his burgeoning abilities. He’ll also have to understand the full scope of the ancient war he has stepped into. Shiki may encounter Momotaro, who can relate to him. After all, his father was one of them.
