The Way of the Househusband Season 2 has premiered on Netflix, providing more opportunities for Tatsu, a retired but still highly feared and skilled yakuza boss. He carries out his domestic tasks with the bravado and efficiency this his former job demanded. We’ve previously discussed The Way of the Househusband here at J-List, like when we were hyped for a second season or discussing just how short the first season was.
Unfortunately, Netflix didn’t release a trailer for The Way of the Househusband Season 2 but did release a couple of clips. So instead of a trailer that would advertise events for the season, here is Tatsu running a cat café.

Then there’s a clip of some scary ladies, but that’s less interesting than the cute cats.
Netflix did release some screenshots for The Way of the Househusband Season 2 on Twitter, so that’s something. It’s not as good as an actual trailer, and they did make a trailer for Season 1 and some clips, so this is a weird situation.

For those new to the series, The Way of the Househusband follows the domestic adventures of Tatsu, a former yakuza boss who took on the role of a househusband after leaving his job as a powerful yakuza boss. He tends to regular everyday tasks while employing his yakuza skills and the general demeanor of a boss, showing that he hasn’t lost his edge.
Tatsu’s wife, Miku, is a career woman with a strong work ethic who puts much of her considerable talent into her design work. Although Tatsu didn’t know it at first, he quickly learned that Miku was an enthusiastic otaku with a great love of magical girl anime.
For background information, The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) was originally a manga series written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono. Publication began on February 23rd, 2018, and continues to this day, with eleven volumes released.
Before the current animated series by J.C. Staff, The Way of the Househusband had a live-action adaptation by Nippon TV, and it aired from October 11th, 2020, to December 13th, 2020, for a total of ten episodes. A live-action movie was released on June 3rd, 2022, by Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan.
