The Villager Issues His Challenge to God in July
The most recent trailer shows more of Kagami’s meeting with the great Hero Party, humanity’s hope for the future. They reach an impasse, as Koji has no particular malice for demons, and the heroes despise them. Their rocky meeting results in a demon leading a horde of monsters to attack their town. While the heroes handle the monsters on the ground, Koji races toward the heavens to confront the demon leading the assault.

A supernatural calamity unleashed magic and monsters onto Earth, permanently altering humanity and the world upon which they lived. Demons and monsters quickly overtook the humans and pushed them to the brink of annihilation. God gave them a fighting chance by granting them classes that offer physical and magical abilities. Koji Kagami was left with the weakest class possible. However, an exploit in the system allowed him to reach the max possible level, rivaling even the Hero and Demon King.
The Villager of Level 999 PV Reveals New Voice Talent

The second preview video revealed that Alice Balnesio will be voiced by Nao Toyama (Takao and Atago from Kantai Collection). Alice is the demon princess who wishes for humans and demons to coexist.

The key visuals perfectly highlight the series characters and their motivations.
Alice wants to journey with Koji, while Koji just wants to make a ton of money. Koji is fine helping people, but he really doesn’t want to get tied up in whatever the Hero Party is doing. That lasts until hordes of monsters lay siege to a town, and he has to stand against thousands of enemies. That buff character is actually a female monk, by the by. The one in pink? Buff girl.
Will you set off fireworks when you watch the premiere of The Level 999 Villager in July? Have you read the original light novel? Will Koji make an honest woman out of one of the cute adventurers? Let us know in the comments below.
