A foolish party kicks out a kind-hearted guy, claiming he’s useless on the battlefield. They quickly prove their ineptitude while he remains oblivious to his hidden talents. This adventurer may not have the skills to slay his enemies. But he can quickly build a keep and craft powerful medicine for warriors. We’ll see if he can put his talents to use when The Unaware Atelier Master (Kanchigai no Atelier Meister: Eiyu Party no Moto Zatsuyogakari ga, Jitsu wa Sento Igai ga SSS Rank Datta to Iu Yoku Aru Hanashi) premieres sometime in April 2025.
Yosuke Tokino and Zounoze released the original The Unaware Atelier Master on March 31st, 2019. AlphaPolis has since published ten volumes.
The diamond in the rough and two of his new companions are as follows:
- Kurt Rockhans — Mikako Komatsu (Yutaka Shinozaki from My Tiny Senpai). An adventurer whose party kicked him out for being “useless.” His true talents lie in a crafting workshop.
- Yulishia — Asami Seto (Frill Shiranui from Oshi no Ko). A mercenary in service to royalty. She seeks to make a profit from her mountain.
- Ophelia — Rie Tanaka (Lacus Clyne from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed). An atelier meister who works to protect Liselotte.
EMT Squared has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote The Unaware Atelier Master. You can find additional series information and the key visuals there. He was born to build castles, not defend them.
The Unaware Atelier Master Enters a New Line of Work
Kurt Rockhans is an earnest and hard-working adventurer. He worked diligently as a supporter of his party. That party brutally assaulted him and left him with nothing. Kurt then took odd jobs, such as painting massive walls and mining precious ore to make ends meet. Though his old party saw him as “useless,” the people around him expressed astonishment at his skills.
Kurt eventually meets the mercenary Yulishia. She’s low on funds but owns a literal mountain of rare ore. His skill in mining and identifying precious ores and metals intrigues Yulishia. Kurt’s offhand attempt to feed an ailing girl results in both her and her protector discovering his SSS Rank skills. They all decide they must protect him while also receiving his assistance in uncovering a nefarious plot.
