At J-List, we celebrate when the titles we love receive new material. So, the announcement that the Junior High School DxD manga is on its way made us light up like a Fourth of July sky. And luckily, the wait for the boob-filled pervy manga is a short one! It’s scheduled for an April 9 release. Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age will serialize the manga starting with its May 2025 issue.
Junior High School DxD Manga Details
The announcement for the Junior High School DxD manga came last year. It adapts the spin-off novel by Rippu Shinonome. Famed doujin artist ojo will illustrate the adaptation. Ichiei Ishibumi, the original High School DxD author, only supervised the spin-off light novels.
Junior High School DxD follows Zekka Miyamoto, a descendant of the fabled sword master Miyamoto Musashi. Zekka, a competent sword master, wields Eden’s dual — a dual Sacred Gear sword. Her swords give her the power to suck her enemy’s life force by stabbing them in the chest. But it comes with a drawback, one that constantly irks Zekka — it makes her boobs grow! And for a girl who only wants to live a slow high school life, that’s a death sentence.
Franchise Deets
Ichiei Ishibumi’s High School DxD light novel ran from 2008 to 2018. Miyama-ZERO illustrated the light novel. Kadokawa’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint published all 25 volumes. Dragon Magazine and Monthly Dragon Age serialized the Hiroji Mishima illustrated manga adaptation between July 2010 and February 2018.
The franchise boasts two additional spin-off manga:
- High School DxD: Asia and Koneko’s Secret Contracts!? — Illustrated by Hiroichi and serialized by Monthly Dragon Age.
- High School DxD: The Work of a Devil — Illustrated by SODA and serialized by Monthly Dragon Age.
High School DxD currently has four TV anime seasons and several OVAs. Studio TNK animated seasons one to three of the series and their OVAs. Studio Passion animated the High School DxD Hero: Taiikukan-ura no Holy OVA and season four of the anime. Fingers crossed for a super pervy Junior High School DxD anime adaptation.
