The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses (Suki na Ko ga Megane o Wasureta) is a descriptively apt title telling a reader, or viewer, what the series will be about. Ai Mie is near-sighted and requires glasses to see correctly. Her deskmate, Kaede Komura, really likes her. Fortunately for him, she feels the same way and uses her forgetfulness to get near-sighted looks at him.
GoHands released this trailer before the July 2023 premiere date to hype fans up for the adaptation.
GoHands has set up a promotional home page plus an official Twitter page that they’re using to keep fans updated and connected with their anime adaptation of The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses. Extras, such as the Key Visual below, can be found there.
Who Is Reflected in Those Eyes
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses follows the cute love story between Ai Mie and Kaede Komura. Kaede has a massive crush on the girl who sits next to him, the near-sighted Ai. He thinks that she’s cute and charming, and he wants to look into her lovely eyes, with or without her glasses getting in the way. Of course, without her glasses, she needs to squint to see things, but he thinks she’s cute when she does that, too.
After getting to know her properly, Kaede discovered that Ai tends to forget her glasses, making it difficult to get through her classes during the day. Kaede offers to help whenever she doesn’t have her glasses on, which she accepts. As Ai comes to rely more on Kaede, the two grow even closer, and romance begins to blossom.
