Kei Misawa and Natsu Mizuno released the original The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration manga series on February 24th, 2021. Flex Comix has since published four volumes in Comic Polaris. They released the light novel adaptation on October 15th, 2021. Flex Comix has since published this version in Comic Arc.

Elsa is the eldest daughter of the fallen Jukarainen family. They were a prominent, if disliked, royal family more than a century ago. They declared war against the neighboring Ralt kingdom and quickly lost. The people they oppressed with bad governance saw their chance and took it. They offered the princess as a consort to the Ralt royal family, and now their descendants run a small countryside territory under Ralt’s banner with little to their name. It’s for those reasons that make everyone wonder why a famous duke’s son wants to marry Elsa.
Julius Roas’s father is a duke and an aide to Ralt’s Prime Minister. Elsa readily agreed, if only to help her family and the territory they tirelessly served. Their fairy-tale wedding set the stage for a good public relations push. But Julius made his intent clear during their honeymoon night. Prince Alex ordered him to marry the eldest daughter of the former Jukarainen royal family and to prevent other parties from using the family. Still, there’s no saying that she can’t enjoy a happy life trying to get her new husband to eat vegetables.
