Anna and Kyotaro’s romcom series is hitting the big screen! Their big movie is a re-edited version of both anime seasons, featuring newly added footage. Fans will get a chance to see what happened to Ichikawa and Yamada after the events of the TV series. We’ll see the loner with a killing intent and the idol with her own hidden darkness meet for the first time when The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu) Movie premieres on February 13th, 2026.
Norio Sakurai released the original The Dangers in My Heart manga series on March 8th, 2018. Akita Shoten has since published twelve volumes in the Shonen Champion Comics imprint. Studio Shin-Ei Animation’s anime adaptation premiered on April 2nd, 2023.
The Dangers in My Heart Cast
The dark loner, his idol target, and his older sister are as follows:
- Kyotaro Ichikawa — Shun Horie (Amethio in Pokémon Horizons: The Series). Kyotaro has typical chuunibyou tendencies. His love for Anna changes his outlook on life.
- Anna Yamada — Hina Yomiya (Minami Kotobuki in Oshi no Ko). Anna is a popular and talented idol who draws both men and women to her. Her idyllic life and positive attitude hide her insecurities.
- Kana Ichikawa — Yukari Tamura (Iori Minase from Idolmaster: Xenoglossia). Kyotaro’s older sister is a genki musician.

The Dangers in My Heart Finds a New Outlook on Life
Kyotaro Ichikawa’s self-imposed isolation and chuunibyou tendencies have allowed dark thoughts to take root in his mind. He has no friends or love interests, so he spends his time fantasizing about murdering his classmates. Kyotaro is disgusted with himself, but he continues to indulge these thoughts. A random encounter with the school idol Anna Yamada in the library starts an unlikely friendship that makes Kyotaro reconsider his murder plans.
Anna’s natural charms begin to sway Kyotaro’s dark heart. She sweeps him up in whatever she’s doing and ends up going along with it. His desire to help her out or make her happy overtakes his desire to brutally murder her with a box cutter. His musician sister enjoys seeing his change and offers guidance where she can. Kyotaro and Anna gradually get closer as they both step out from under their dark clouds.
