Though The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses anime adaptation was announced a couple of months ago, fans hoping to see more were given a special treat: a character trailer for Shigariku Ono, one of the goddesses working at the titular café, released in advance of its April 2023 premiere. The trailer shows different sides of Shigariku, displays her likes and dislikes, and reveals her eye-catching three sizes. It’s clear the fine animators at Tezuka Productions want her to be the best girl of the series.
A couple of key art visuals were also released for Shigariku Ono, one from the official Twitter account, and another from The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses creator Kōji Seo’s Twitter account.
In case this anime adaptation of The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses slipped under your radar, the series trailer was released a couple of months ago, providing some story details, introducing the cast of characters, and setting a general tone for the series.
The cast of goddesses is varied in appearance and personality, so fans are likely to latch onto their favorites fairly quickly. Ouka Makuzawa, the pink-haired tsundere who just had her first run-in with the harem anime trope of “accidentally getting seen in your underwear by the harem protagonist” might be an early favorite, for obvious reasons. However, Shiragiku Ono is the childhood friend, and that can’t be discounted quite yet. Ami Tsuruga, the blue-haired girl, also performs karate, so that has its own appeal. Akane Hououji, the cool-type girl with short hair, sings and performs in a band. Riho Tsukishima, the cute twin-tail girl, is a child actress and the granddaughter of a famous Showa-era actress.
