Switzerland’s famous perverted otaku Melonpan received a notice that his 66-pound parcel filled with Japanese doujins were seized by Swiss customs officials. In a tweet posted last week, it said he was asked to explain himself regarding the contents of the package.
His glorious haul of manga was from Summer Comiket (most of these were loli doujins) and since he fears of exceeding the airline’s baggage weight limit, he decided to ship them to Switzerland. Having bought a lot of doujins from a popular convention in Japan is an otaku’s dream come true—for Melonpan’s case, this has slowly become a nightmare for him.

In his tweets, he hoped that the customs “will be able to understand the wonderfulness of Japanese art” and he has grown tired of the misjudgment that he is getting from people. It didn’t seem to end well for him as he expressed that the female official handling his case has no tolerance for hentai culture and is stricter with loli stuff. The disappointment has lead him to say “Time to move to Japan” and “Goodbye Switzerland”.

There seems to be a good end in this story however as he posted pictures of himself having his precious doujins in his hands and now properly placed on the shelves of his room.
Melonpan went through a lot the past couple of months. He lost his job at a Swiss bank after his employer found out that he was into hentai manga and anime. He landed a job in a well-known international delivery service but was fired on his day because his employer couldn’t stomach his love for such things.
Regardless of what has happened along the way, nothing would seem to stop this man from loving the things that he loves the most.
