To those who are hoping to have some good news that the fan favorite and Internet phenomenon Bowsette will be an official canon character, sadly she won’t. Nintendo officially revealed (indirectly) that she won’t be making an appearance in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch.
According to the official New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe website, the description of the new Super Crown item is that it can only be used by Toadette which will turn her into the “super-powered Peachette”.
The said item was the start of the discussion about Bowsette into the game. When fans heard that Toadette and Peach would from a new character, they then expressed that why couldn’t Bowser and Peach do that as well?
After the announcement of the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe game, Twitter user Ayyk92 posted a comic which then sparked a lot of fan creations of Bowsette with hopes that this phenomenon will be made canon by Nintendo in the future.
The New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe will be released for the Nintendo Switch on Friday, January 11.
