There is plenty of new series set to premiere in October when the next season of television anime begins. As every season rolls in, you’ve got a bingo card of the kinds of anime you can expect to see grace the airwaves. There are always manga adaptations, there are always light novel adaptations, and there are always, always, isekai. The October anime season is no exception, with By the Grace of the Gods being one such anime to fill the necessary isekai slot. As the show draws closer to its premiere date, the official website has revealed details on new cast members and the theme songs for the show.
the newly announced cast members for By the Grace of the Gods include:
- Yūki Hirose as Welanna, Miya’s former party member
- Yūki Takada as Mizelia, Miya’s former party member
- Yui Fukuo as Cilia, Miya’s former party member
- Tetsu Inada as Wogan, the master of the Adventurer’s Guild’s Gimuru branch
They join the previously announced cast members for the anime:
- Yūki Kuwahara as Eliaria
- Daisuke Ono as Reinhart
- Marika Kōno as Miya
- Motomu Kiyokawa as Gain
- Kikuko Inoue as Lulutia
- Makoto Koichi as Kufo
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Ryoma Takebayashi
- Makoto Furukawa as Tabuchi
- Saori Hayami as Elise
- Takehito Koyasu as Reinbach
As for the main voice actress of By the Grace of the Gods, Azusa Tadokoro, she’ll be performing the opening theme song “Yasashii Sekai” (Kind World). The ending theme song, meanwhile, is titled “Blue Rose knows” and is performed by MindaRyn. MindaRyn is actually a popular YouTuber known for recording covers of anime music, and this ending theme song performance marks her debut single.
The original By the Grace of the Gods light novel is being published in English digitally by J-Novel Club, who describes the story as follows:
Under the protection of the gods, a relaxed life with slimes in another world begins! One day, the life of middle-aged Japanese businessman Ryoma Takebayashi came to a rather sudden and disappointing end. Ryoma had never had a blessed life, but after his death, three great gods sought his cooperation and reincarnated him as a child in another world with swords and magic!
