The undead holy knight skeleton Arc is making his grand return! Arc is a talented gamer with a flair for the dramatic and ironic. His in-game character is a holy knight wearing a skeleton “skin.” He’s an undead being who uses holy magic, the bane of the undead. To add to his ironies, he frequently meets cute girls with whom he can do little. We’ll see if he can undo this “curse” on his isekai adventure when Skeleton Knight in Another World (Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechu) Season 2 premieres sometime in July 2026.

Ennki Hakari released the original Skeleton Knight in Another World novel on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro from October 19th, 2014, to July 16th, 2018. KeG provided the art for the light novel adaptation, which debuted on June 25th, 2015. Overlap has since published ten volumes in the Overlap Novels imprint. Akira Sawano provided the art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on February 10th, 2017. Overlap has since published fourteen volumes in Comic Gardo. Studio Kai’s anime adaptation premiered on April 7th, 2022.
Skeleton Knight in Another World Cast
The titular undead warrior and two of his cute friends are as follows:
- Arc Lalatoya — Tomoaki Maeno (Veldora Tempest from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Arc is a gamer from the modern world who awoke in a magical world as his game avatar.
- Ariane Glenys Maple — Fairouz Ai (Power from Chainsaw Man). Ariane is a dark elf and Arc’s firm ally.
- Chiyome — Miyu Tomita (Funifura from KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!). Chiyome is a ninja beast girl and Arc’s ally.

The Skeleton Knight in Another World Stands Tall
An unnamed gamer woke up in an all-too familiar world of swords and sorcery. Something or someone transported this man into his favorite video game as his in-game avatar, Arc. Unfortunately, he got a bit cheeky with his avatar, putting on a skeleton “skin,” a cosmetic to turn his holy knight into an undead being. That might be cute in a video game, but in the real world, it can be terrifying and confusing. Why is an undead using holy magic, an undead’s bane?
Arc is not your typical warrior isekai protagonist. For one, he regularly cracks a smile. For another, he’ll cut some fools apart. He proves this by slicing up some slave owners to save escaped elven slaves. This fateful meeting leads him down a treacherous path where he saves innocent souls and annihilates true evil with cute girls by his side. These girls completely accept his skeletal nature and completely believe that he’s under a curse. Now, if he can get rid of this “curse,” he can have some real fun with the cat and elf waifus.
