RPG Real Estate is the second series in as many years to deal with the topic of finding a new home in a fantasy world. Coincidence?
In an announcement that hit Twitter early on Wednesday, October 27th, the upcoming anime adaptation of the four-koma manga series RPG Real Estate (RPG Fudōsan) will air in the spring of 2022, with studio Doga Kobo handling the animation. How does it look so far? Well, let’s take a look at the preview to find out.
If you couldn’t tell just by watching that video, this series couldn’t be inside this studio’s wheelhouse more. Adorable and moe, RPG Real Estate just screams cutesy. I think the studio is going to have a good time showing off our main character attempting to sell houses in a fantasy world.
Speaking of those cute characters, here is the cast list:
Kotone Kazairo: Honoka Inoue
Fa: Hina Kino
Rufuria: Natsumi Kawaida
Rakira: Manaka Iwami
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Tomoaki Koshida would direct, working off series composition written by Yoshiko Nakamura. The anime’s character designs are being provided by Motohiro Taniguchi.
As mentioned, this is the second series in as many years to feature fantasy real estate, with the other one being Dragon Goes House Hunting. Could someone please tell me that this will not be a new theme going forward? If I’m being honest, I kind of hope not. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good fantasy series that doesn’t involve the main character being transported into another world, but can we find a vaguely more interesting aspect to focus on?
Regardless, we’ll see if this series manages to win me over to its side over the next few months before it premieres in spring 2022.
