Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty Shreds with Cute Girls

These princess-like young ladies shred like the rock music gods behind closed doors. They have no choice but to hide their real passions. These girls are part of high society. One girl’s mother married a rich guy, and the other belonged to a long line of wealthy and influential people. That won’t stop them from rocking out with their hearts out. We’ll see how much they shred when Rock is a Lady’s Modesty (Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite) premieres on April 3rd, 2025. Band-Maid is performing the opening theme, “Ready to Rock,” and Little Glee Monster is performing the ending theme, “Yume Janai nara Nan’na no sa.”

Hiroshi Fukuda released the original Rock is a Lady’s Modesty manga series on October 28th, 2022. Hakusensha has since published six volumes in Young Animal.

The four rocker girls are as follows:

Lilisa Suzunomiya — Akira Sekine (Maryu Reage from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?). A rocker who set her guitar aside after her father died.
Otoha Kurogane — Miyuri Shimabukuro (Kiku Kamishirakawa from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS). A refined upper-class girl who hides her love of rock music.
Tina Isemi — Ayaka Fukuhara (Rin Shibuya from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls). A talented pianist who tried to pick Lilisa up.
Tamaki Shiraya — Natsumi Fujiwara (Damian Desmond in Spy x Family). The band’s energetic bassist.

Bandai Namco Pictures has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Rock is a Lady’s Modesty. You can find additional series information and the key visuals there. Every girl has two sides to them.

The Very Dignified Jamming Sessions of Rock is a Lady’s Modesty

Lilisa Suzunomiya and Otoha Kurogane seem like the ideal princesses of the Oushin Academy for Girls. How could they not when the academy is meant only for the daughters of influential families? They move and speak like noblewomen and enchant all that come near them. In reality, these soft-spoken girls are foul-mouthed rockers.

Lilisa inherited her father’s love of the guitar, and Otoha seems like a yandere with a drum set. As much as they clash in their private music room, they share a single goal to form a band and rock out in public. Their dream seems nearer when a bassist and pianist join their loud garden party. They only have to make sure nosy sisters don’t discover their secret.
