Back in 2016, the anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- took the world by storm. The grim, gripping time-bending isekai story became a smash hit. It may have taken four years, but fans are finally getting an onslaught of new content based on the series to dive into. The anime and Tappei Nagatsuki-penned light novel series is inspiring a second season that premieres this month, alongside a visual novel console-game spinoff titled Re:Zero – The Prophecy of the Throne that is set to hit PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year. On top of a console game, though, the smartphone game Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Lost in Memories is also set to debut this summer. Now, eager fans can get their first look at the gameplay of this mobile adventure thanks to four new clips posted by Sega.

Three of the new gameplay clips for Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Lost in Memories show off various story scenes in the game, depicting the player communicating with plenty of iconic faces from the series as you step into the shoes of protagonist Subaru Natsuki and make various choices that will lead you down a variety of brand new storylines. The fourth clip, though, shows off some combat in which chibi versions of characters from the show partake in some turn-based battles.

Like so many other mobile games, Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Lost in Memories will be a free to download and free to play game, offering optional in-game purchases. WHITE FOX, the anime studio behind the official anime series, is also set to produce the opening animation for the game. Kenichi Kawamura, a storyboard artist from the first season of the anime, will be storyboarding and directing animation for the new game. The original light novel author of the series, Tappei Nagatsuki, is set to supervise the project.
