A cataclysmic event revealed a heroic anti-terror organization to the public. The organization opened new academies to train the next generation of soldiers. They have also reopened the local favorite Mihama Academy after a period of abandonment. A new group of cute misfits and a lucky harem protagonist have since enrolled to hone their skills. We’ll see if they make the grade when Grisaia Phantom Trigger premieres sometime in January 2025.
Frontwing released the original The Fruit of Grisaia visual novel on February 25th, 2011. Studio Eight Bit’s anime adaptation premiered on October 5th, 2014.
Three of our student soldiers are as follows:
- Rena Fukami — Maaya Uchida (Kaguya Yamai in Date A Live). A gunner who works on Haruto’s behalf. Though a skilled shooter, she tends to struggle in class.
- Tohka Shishigaya — Ayane Sakura (Orio from Pokémon Horizons: The Series). A gunner who grew up around a private military contractor. Her rough upbringing has turned her into a tsundere.
- Maki Inohara — Yoshino Nanjou (Misaki Nagatoro from Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro). A gunner who trained to be an assassin and hitwoman from a young age. You can typically find her riding her motorcycle.

Grisaia Phantom Trigger Never Misses the Shot
Central Intelligence and Research Second (CIRS), the anti-terrorist organization, has finally defeated Heath Oslo, the international criminal. However, their victory has exposed the organization to the public. They rebuilt and redoubled their efforts to preserve peace wherever they went into a new agency: Social Ops, Research & Development (SORD). In addition, they have opened new specialist training academies around Japan and reopened Mihama Academy.
Haruto Aoi — a former CIRS agent — has become the new tactical instructor at Mihama Academy and a handler for the cute female students. He doesn’t have much of a taste for firearms, so he relies on their skills to carry out gun-related operations on his behalf. Haruto makes liberal and expert use of a sword out in the field. Girls such as Tohka, Rena, Maki, and Koma make saving the world much more stimulating.
