Our new isekai protagonist regains memories of his previous life at the last moment. What a time to realize you’re in a fantasy world when a monster is about to end you. Teogonia doesn’t present an idyllic isekai scenario but does promise action and adventure. There’s no premiere date yet, but we have a brief teaser trailer to enjoy.
Tsukasa Tanimai released the original Teogonia novel on August 7th, 2017, through publication on Shosetsuka ni Naro. Later, Shufu to Seikatsu Sha hired the artist Kouichiro Kawano to adapt the series to a light novel format starting on March 30th, 2018. Since then, the PASH! Books imprint has published three light novel volumes. Shufu to Seikatsu Sha hired the artist Shunsuke Aoyama to adapt the series to a manga format that began on March 30th, 2018, in Comic PASH!.

Reborn to Become a Guardian in Teogonia
Kai is one of Rag Village’s many foot soldiers. He is a commoner who arms himself for his home and family. Rag sits on the frontier of their country, far from civilization. As such, villages like Rag and Banya rely on one another to face the Macaque and Ogres. These large monkey-type and pig-type monsters constantly threaten those on the edges of the country. Only the Guardian Bearers — those chosen by a God — can truly stand up to them.
After a grueling battle that nearly became his last, Kai saw flashes of his previous life in modern-day Japan. He used his knowledge of RPGs and the small amount of magic he gained from ingesting part of a God Stone to use magic. Kai will need every advantage he gets to survive against the cruel and vicious monsters surrounding him.
