Women’s ice hockey anime PuraOre! – PRIDE OF ORANGE – is attempting to appeal to different kinds of anime fans with the release of two brand new promotional videos!
It’s been a while since we’ve checked in with PuraOre! – PRIDE OF ORANGE –, but the good news is that the series is still scheduled to premiere in October 2021. With that month getting closer and closer, the staff is whetting our appetites with the release of two entirely different themed promotional videos.
In the first video which features the opening theme song Figh-Oh Fight! as sung by the voice cast members: Riku Masuda (Manaka Mizusawa), Satomi Hongo (Yu Kiyose), Mayu Sagara (Ayaka Mizusawa), Saika Kitamori (Riko Saginuma), Asuka Shioiri (Naomi Takagi), Yurika Moriyama (Kaoruko Yanagida), and Mami Ono (Yoshino Aoyama) and highlights the series intense sports action on the ice.
The second promotional video features the ending theme song Orange as sung by May’n. This promotional video is much more somber and shows off the dramatic elements of the series such as friends having to say goodbye to each other and other token scenes meant to tug at your heartstrings.
If you could read the tiny Japanese print at the end of each promotional video, you’d also see the cast and crew members fly by which includes animation produced by C2C and Takebumi Anzai sitting in the director’s chair. They’ll be working off series composition created by Touko Machida and character designs from Kii Tanaka.

The story for the series follows a group of girls as they enter the rough world of ice hockey. The setting is Nikko City in Tochigi Prefecture and features girls becoming fascinated by the sport after seeing an open exhibition. Eventually, all the girls decide to join the “Dream Monkeys” and fight together towards winning a tournament.
