Promise of Wizard Fulfilled in January 2025

A new isekai with mages aplenty has finally received an anime adaptation. Promise of Wizard (Mahotsukai no Yakusoku) is a rare isekai where things are the opposite of what we cultured otaku expect. This time, the lucky protagonist is a cute girl, and she’s surrounded by attractive men. We’ll see which becomes the Best Boy when this series premieres sometime in January 2025. Our lucky isekai protagonist and some of the handsome men surrounding her are as follows:

Akira Masaki — Yumiri Hanamori (Chinatsu Hayakawa in My Tiny Senpai). Akira is a girl from Japan who adores cats. Akira now stands as a Sage to fight alongside the wizards.
Arthur Granvelle — Atsushi Tamaru (Talken from Sword Art Online). Arthur is a wizard and the crown prince of Central Kingdom.
Oz — Takashi Kondo (Indra Otsutsuki from Naruto Shippuden). Oz is the great and powerful wizard who raised Arthur.
Murr Hart — Mizuki Nakamura. Murr was once a genius inventor and philosopher, but the Great Calamity shattered his soul. Murr’s personality has since become very catlike.

Promise of Wizard Fulfilled by the Sage

Like any good isekai series, an ordinary person is spirited away to a magical world on the precipice of disaster. Once a year, the moon hanging in the night sky threatens to collide with the planet. The moon — known as the Great Calamity — can only be stopped by the most powerful wizards in the world. A mighty Sage summoned them to protect the world, but they have gone their own ways after.

Akira Masaki is a regular girl from Japan. Her life became upended when she was taken to the world of the wizards and declared the new Sage. Gifted with abilities accessible only to a Sage, she must unite the wizards again and stop the Great Calamity from unleashing devastation upon the world.
