From the production team that brought us Toradora and Anohana, Tatsuyuki Nagai, Mari Okada, and Masayoshi Tanaka comes together again to announces their newest original anime film Sora no Aosa Shiru Hito yo (To Those Who Know of the Blueness of the Sky). The film is set to hit Japanese theaters October 11 of this year. The official website for Sora no Aosa wo Shiru Hito yo streamed the first promotional video of the animated film.
The staff member working on the animated film are mentioned to be Tatsyuki Nagai as the head director, his works include Anohana, Toradora, and A Certain Scientific Railgun. Mari Okada will be penning the script, her works include her original film Maquia – When the Promised Flower Blooms, and Hanasaku Iroha – Blossoms for Tomorrow. Drawing the original character design and serving as head animation director Masayoshi Tanaka, his works includes DARLING in the FRANXX, Highschool of the Dead. Head studio in charge of the animation is Clover Works. Hiroyuki Shimizu who help produce Anohana, and Genki Kawamura who helped produce Your Name, and Maquia, will be producing the animated film.
