Old Demons and New Angels in New Panty and Stocking

The Anarchy sisters are making a grand return, and they’re not alone. Their hated foes, the Demon sisters, seem to be closer to them than ever. Daten City is becoming more active again, and the citizens need their heroines. Unfortunately, they have a couple of banished angels on the front lines. We’ll see how the angels perform when New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt premieres on July 9th, 2025.

Hiroyuki Imaishi, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and other Gurren Lagann staff created Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt for Gainax. The first series premiered on October 1st, 2010.

Divine and damned heroines are as follows:

Panty Anarchy — Arisa Ogasawara (Soma Peries from Mobile Suit Gundam 00). An angel who spends more time hunting men than hunting Ghosts.
Stocking Anarchy — Mariya Ise (Himeno from Chainsaw Man). An angel who spends more time hunting snacks than Ghosts.
Scanty Demon — Yuka Komatsu (Caulifla from Dragon Ball Super). A demon who plots the angels’ downfall.

Angels, Demons, and Bullets Fly in New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

Panty and Stocking — the (in)famous Anarchy Sisters — are banished from Heaven for poor performance. They’re sent to Daten City, a place that exists between Heaven and Hell. The priest with questionable hobbies, Garterbelt, is tasked with keeping the girls on mission. These angels with questionable hobbies must hunt vicious Ghosts and collect the dropped Heaven Coins to buy their way back into Heaven.

But that was then, and this is now. The Demon sisters — Scanty and Kneesocks — succeeded in using Brief to unlock the gate to Hell and bring chaos to Daten City. Panty and Stocking’s mother literally stepped in to stop Corset. It seems like the Anarchy sisters and the Demon sisters have become close since their battle, while the Angel brothers — Polyester and Polyurethane — show up to make a scene.
