It’s a good day when we see the Hololive VTubers back in anime. Cover Corp. and Kadokawa have been eager to show us more of Odekake Hololive (Hololive: Let’s Head Out!), their newest foray into anime. Their previous entry — Magical Girl holoWitches! — was pretty dang stellar, and this one seems to be even better. Plot details are scarce, but the new PV and the one from a few years ago paint a vivid picture.
It’s a very special time for us at J-List, because 30 years ago this week, we started the first anime and hentai shop selling to fans around the world. And we’ve been able to make it this far thanks to our wonderful customers. We’re celebrating with a huge 20% sale on all in-stock Japan products, through October 7th. Start browsing now!
Momosuzu Nene, Omaru Polka, Yukihana Lamy, Shishiro Botan, Shirakami Fubuki, and Ookami Mio held a special stream introducing the new PV:
Odekake Hololive News, Cast, Staff
Three of our lovely Hololive VTubers are as follows:
- Houshou Marine — Marine is the lewd (and young!) Captain of the Houshou Pirates.
- Usada Pekora — Pekora claims to be a member of the Pekoland royal family.
- Sakura Miko — Miko is a shrine maiden from the Virtual Sakura Shrine.
The Hololive girls will take the stage sometime in the future. Studio Kai is responsible for the anime adaptation, with Shunsuke Machitani as director. Kōdai Minami writes the series, and Masatoshi Tsuji designs the characters.
Odekake Hololive has an official website, a TikTok account, a YouTube account, and a Twitter (X) account with more information about the series and the key visuals.
Odekake Hololive! Let’s Go Out!
VTubers seem tailor-made to just about any sort of story you can think of. Because their lore varies from fantastical to more realistic, they seem to fit in whatever setting you can think of. Magical Girl holoWitches! was a magical series, and it worked out. This series looks like it’s a bit of magic, but the summary says it’s more slice-of-life than anything. Here’s what the girls do whenever they’re not streaming. Does Nene really deal with a giant snake in real life?
This series is going to be packed. Hololive has already announced 29 of its talents taking to the screen:
- Tokino Sora
- Roboco-san
- Aki Rosenthal
- Shirakami Fubuki
- Natsuiro Matsuri
- Nakiri Ayame
- Yuzuki Choco
- Oozora Subaru
- AZKi
- Ookami Mio
- Sakura Miko
- Nekomata Okayu
- Inugami Korone
- Hoshimachi Suisei
- Usada Pekora
- Shiranui Flare
- Shirogane Noel
- Houshou Marine
- Tsunomaki Watame
- Tokoyami Towa
- Himemori Luna
- Yukihana Lamy
- Momosuzu Nene
- Shishiro Botan
- Omaru Polka
- La+ Darknesss
- Takane Lui

I can’t wait to see how the series handles all of them. I want to know who Botan is about to snipe. It’s been too long since I’ve seen a cool anime girl with a gun.
