Rejoice, my fellow ecchi enjoyers! After a long wait, the NUKITASHI anime adaptation is coming this July! Studio Passione will handle the adaptation. Up to now, the summer anime season hasn’t boasted many ecchi titles. But now, we’re in for a comedic treat!
What’s NUKITASHI About?
Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dō Surya Ii Desuka (What’s a Flat-Chested Girl Like Me to Do on an Island Straight Out of a Porn Game?) is a two-part adult visual novel by Qruppo. The first installation of the VN was released on July 27, 2018. The second part was released a year later.
NUKITASHI follows Junnosuke Tachibana, a loser virgin (in my opinion) who takes offense to the laws and practices of Serian Island. A paradise on Earth, Serian Island allows sexual intercourse anywhere and at any time. Offended by the “depravity” happening on the island, Junnosuke embraces the Old Testament and goes fire and brimstone on Serian Island. With that misguided vitriol, Junnosuke becomes a resistance fighter hellbent on restoring decency on Serian Island.
Shiravune published the VN in English with a censored and cultured version available.
The first installment of the VN won Best Scenario and Best New Brand at the 2018 Moe Game Awards. Its second installment won the Moe Game Award’s Grand Award the following year. NUKITASHI also boasts a spin-off manga adaptation focusing on one of the VN’s heroines. Manga Okoku started publishing the web version of the manga in December 2020. The print version began serialization in Ultra Jump magazine in 2021. Six tankobon volumes have been released.
