If you’re a fan of chill, low-key, and incredibly adorable slice-of-life anime, it doesn’t get much better than Non Non Biyori. The delightful anime about a group of young girls yucking it up in a quiet country town is packed full of charming moments and gut-punching humor, and overseas fans have been able to experience the fun of the first two seasons through official streaming services like Crunchyroll and home video releases on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any legitimate way for English-speaking fans to watch the charming feature-length film sequel to the series, Non Non Biyori Vacation. Thankfully, that’s set to change soon, as Sentai Filmworks has announced their licensing of the sweet anime film.

The English anime licensing and distribution company announced their licensing of the film earlier this week, with plans to distribute it on home video and via digital release. Sentai Filmworks will release Non Non Biyori Vacation not just in North America, but also in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., Ireland, and South Africa.
Sentai Filmworks describes the film as follows:
Summer vacation might be coming to a close, but the adorable cast of Non Non Biyori is headed to Okinawa for some fun in the sun and a visit to the beach! The students of the super rural Asahigaoka branch school, all five of them, are eager to end their summer on a high note, making new friends and going on new adventures with the unbridled joy and adorable antics they’re known for.
The movie, which is an adaptation of the “Okinawa Trip Arc” from the original manga, first opened in Japan in August of 2018, screening across 27 theaters in the country. The release went wider in September of that year, being made available in 71 theaters across 41 prefectures. During the first two weekends of its theater release, the film topped mini-theater ranking charts in Japan.
The staff responsible for the first two seasons of Non Non Biyori returned to work on the film, with theme song performer nano.RIPE also returning to perform the new opening theme song “Ao no Rakugaki.” The ending theme song, meanwhile, was titled “Omoide” (Memories) and was performed by Kotori Koiwai, Rie Murakawa, Ayane Sakura, and Kana Asumi. The four singers are voice actors of the main characters in the series.
