The racing horse girls return! Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era (Shin Jidai no Tobira) is the newest chapter of this racing horse girls series. Pocket Jungle will take the stage and race her hardest toward the finish line. This anime girl will premiere on May 24th. Cygames has uploaded a few trailers showcasing characters such as Jungle Pocket and T.M. Opera O. Besides those, we can enjoy the full trailer until the premiere date.
Cygames created Uma Musume Pretty Derby. Huan “ZECO” Yu, and Katsumi Nakayama created the Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Haru Urara Ganbaru! manga series from May 8th, 2016, to September 11th, 2016.
Some of the leading horse girls are as follows:
- Jungle “Pokke” Pocket — Yuri Fujimoto (Metropink from Platinum End). Pokke is a strong-willed horse girl who wants to become the best racer.
- T.M. Opera O — Sora Tokui (Momoi Saiba from Blue Archive). T.M. Opera O is a proud and somewhat narcissistic girl with the skills and speed to back up her boasts.
- Agnes Tachyon — Sumire Uesaka (Hayase Nagatoro from Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro). Agnes Tachyon is a hyper-intelligent horse girl who uses her wits to win. She has yet to show off her full power.
- Manhattan Café — Yui Ogura (Amatsukaze from Kantai Collection). Manhattan Café enjoys coffee as much as her name would imply. She is a quiet girl who spends time with friends that only she can see.
- Dantsu Flame — Haruna Fukushima (Key animator from A Certain Scientific Accelerator). Dantsu Flame is a hard-working and earnest racer.

Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era Jungle Pocket Races to the Finish
Jungle Pocket is a freestyle and free-running horse girl. She races for the challenge and sheer thrill of it. Her trajectory changed after watching Fuji Kiseki race in the Twinkle Series. Pokke was then inspired to race at far higher levels. She enrolled at Toresen Academy to join the many other horse girls for a chance to run in the Classic Triple Crown Race. Pokke had the opportunity to train with Tanabe, who raised Fuji Kiseki herself.
Jungle Pocket now races with the incredibly intelligent Agnes Tachyon, the hard-working Dantsu Flame, and the mysterious Manhattan Café. They each have their own reasons to run as hard as they can. They’ll have to bring out their best because they only have one chance to compete in the Classic Triple Crown Race.
