My One-Hit Kill Sister: Thirsty Isekai Sibling Revelry!

The last time J-List reported on the isekai anime My One-Hit Kill Sister, we knew about the twist on the usual formula. Asahi, the isekaied main character, was not overpowered and was unlikely to save his new world. Then his sister, who has an unhealthy attachment to her younger brother, followed him into the same fantasy-style existence. Like Okaa-san Online, Maya has unfair abilities, giving her brother Asahi an inferiority complex to match her “brocon” (brother complex).

My One-Hit Kill Sister has many easy comparisons to Okaa-san Online, the anime starring an overpowered mama with massive mommy-milkers. The two anime are harem comedies set in another world, use RPG game mechanics to drive the plot, and give people the heebie-jeebies from the “wincest” vibes. But there is another anime to consider for connecting mommy-milkers: Vermeil in Gold.

Vermeil in Gold starred a busty demon who wanted to toy with a seemingly weak boy. It’s too early to tell if the loser brother in My One-Hit Kill Sister stays impotent. But Kilmaria matches the bodily attributes of Vermeil. Similarly, the two horny devils hide their devil parts in both anime. And Kilmaria’s mere presence is enough to drive other women into jealous apoplexy. Just like Vermeil did. I’ll be watching My One-Hit Kill Sister for Kilmaria’s two reasons.

The One-Hit Killer Cast and Crew of My One-Hit Kill Sister

Crunchyroll recently announced it would be simul streaming the anime starting on April 8th. The American streamer’s official synopsis from its press release describes the lowly status of the lead character.

“High school student Asahi Ikusaba gets lost in another world and immediately falls into a crisis. Soon after, Mayu Ikusaba, his big sister with a brother complex, suddenly appears, having followed him to the other world. Moreover, all of his big sister’s statuses have reached the ‘cheat class!’ She kills any monster in just one turn. The lowest class little bro Asahi begins his new life in another world with a one-turn kill sis who’s infatuated with him.”

Gekkō studio is producing My One-Hit Kill Sister. It doesn’t have much of a track record but will also be animating the summer TV show TenPuru. The director, Hiroaki Takagi, and character designer, Yuuji Hamada, are also novices. Thankfully, My One-Hit Kill Sister is adapted from the manga instead of the web novel, allowing for more structured storytelling. Youhei Kashii, the lead writer, handled the 2021 reboot, Battle Athletes Victory ReSTART!.

The production staff may lack experience, but the voice cast includes talented veterans. The official website for My One-Hit Kill Sister released a final trailer before the anime’s premiere.

• Maya Ikusaba — Haruka Shiraishi (Mira Suou from World’s End Harem). The titular one-hit killer sister loves her little brother so much. Sooo much.
• Asahi Ikusaba — Yuki Sakakihara (Robota from Lycoris Recoil). The RPG geek met Truck-kun but didn’t expect to see his smothering sister again.
• Kilmaria — Ami Koshimizu (G36 from Girls’ Frontline). The bosomy demoness fell in love with Asahi after a fateful encounter. Maya hates her!
• Sophie — Azumi Waki (Rem Galleu from How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord). The healer has a knack for causing accidents.
• Tanya — Rio Tsuchiya (Ranka from SSSS.DYNAZENON). The cheerful tan gal is the adventurer guild’s receptionist.
• Gloria — Sora Tokui (Nico Yazawa from Love Live!). The nobleman’s daughter-turned-adventurer has monstrous strength!
• Kuon — Konomi Kohara (Sachi Umino — and J-List Megumi lookalike — from A Couple of Cuckoos). Gloria’s maid keeps her mistress safe through her exceptional scouting skills.
• Siegfried — Yuuma Uchida (Yuuto Shinkai from Yowamushi Pedal). The depressed “Dragon Hunter” thinks Kilmaria looks familiar.
