A small group of illegal heroes walked the streets before Deku and his friends began attending their famous academy. All Might inspires a kind man with a seemingly subpar Quirk to soar and protect the innocent. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a license, which makes him a vigilante. We’ll see how his hero career forms when My Hero Academia: Vigilantes (Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals) premieres sometime in April 2025.
Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court released the original My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga series with Kohei Horikoshi’s supervision between August 20th, 2016, and May 28th, 2022. Shueisha published all fifteen volumes in the Jump Comics+ imprint.

The three vigilantes are as follows:
- Koichi Haimawari / The Crawler — Shuichiro Umeda (Yuuki Izumi in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie). He is an average guy who uses his Quirk to help people with minor errands.
- Kazuho Haneyama / Pop☆Step — Ikumi Hasegawa (Ciel from Tsukihime). A popular street performer who can leap to great heights.
- Iwao Oguro / Knuckleduster — Yasuhiro Mamiya (Roy from Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II). A hardened vigilante who recruits Koichi and Kazuho.
Bones Film maintains a home page, an Instagram page, a TikTok page, and a Twitter (X) page to promote My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. There, you can find more information about the series and key visuals. Heroes fight even without permission.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Fight Outside the Law
Koichi Haimawari once aspired to be a great hero like All Might. However, his Quirk “Slide and Glide” only let him move about on the ground. He resolved to help where possible and let the heroes soar above him. Koichi has a fateful run-in with the street performer Pop☆Step. He warns her about a police cruiser, which gives her enough time to escape.

His second run-in happens when the local thug with the Spike Quirk beats him up. Koichi gets away and dons his All Might sweater to help people. He later reunites with Pop☆Step and tries to save her from those thugs. The more seasoned vigilante Knuckleduster intervenes and assists him. Knuckleduster praises his courage and decides to become his mentor. He’ll need help to contend with a group of villains who release drugs that empower Quirks at the cost of the user’s sanity.
