Monster Hunter World is a smash hit and the best selling Monster Hunter game in the entire series. It’s even the best-selling game Capcom has ever made. It’s a huge game full of big action and jaw-dropping monsters, and fans just can’t get enough. To thank the players, Capcom has announced a new armor set that will be given to everyone for free in anticipation of the upcoming release of the Monster Hunter World expansion, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
On September 5th, 2019, current players of Monster Hunter World can log in to receive the brand new Guardian set of armor. You’ll have to visit your player room and talk to the Room Service pet in order to receive the armor. The full set of Guardian armor contains the following pieces:
- Guardian Helm
- Guardian Suit
- Guardian Braces
- Guardian Coil
- Guardian Boots
Equipping the full set in Monster Hunter World and Iceborne will give you a bunch of incredibly useful skills. You’ll be rocking Recovery Up Lv 3, Marathon Runner Lv 3, Health Boost Lv 3, and Divine Blessing Lv 3. It’s a big set of super helpful skills that are intended to help you push through the late-game content of Monster Hunter World so you’re ready to move on to even bigger challenges in the story quests of Iceborne.
If you’re a brand new player, this armor set is also incredibly helpful. At character creation, you can choose to start with the Guardian armor right away, giving you a huge boost in defense and skills as you’re starting out.
On top of the Guardian set, every player will receive a free item pack that includes Iron Ore x7, Earth Crystal x2, Machalite Ore x7, Dragonite Ore x2, Monster Bone M x2, and Silver Egg x1.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2019, with a PC release following on January 2020.
