Kings Raid Key Visual 01

If you’re a fan of the popular mobile RPG King’s Raid, you’re in for a real treat!

On Thursday, April 30th, it was revealed that the hit game will be getting a television anime series starting in the fall of 2020. Not only that, but it’s also being reported that the story in the anime will be entirely original! Developed by the South Korean unit VESPA and launched globally on February 16th, 2017, the game boasts over thirteen million worldwide downloads.

In the original King’s Raid game, the story follows a knight-in-training named Kasel who is on a quest to discover the mystery behind his brother’s disappearance and forms a party along the way. They provided no details regarding the previously mentioned original scenario for the anime series, but stay tuned to the J-List blog for more story details and a promotional video once they are made available.

In terms of the anime adaptation, we can report that OLM and Sunrise Beyond will produce the animation. Makoto Hoshino (DamePri Anime Caravan) is the director and they’ll be working off of series composition put together by Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!). Character designs are being created by Tatsuya Arai while Yu Yoshiyama will design the monsters. Masahiro Tokuda will compose the background music.

We can also report that the primary cast for the King’s Raid anime has already been filled out as follows:

Kasle: Kaito Ishikawa (Tenya Iida in My Hero Academia)

Frei: Ai Kakuma (Makomo in Demon Slayer)

Cleo: Ari Ozawa (Mao in Hinamatsuri)

Roy: Kengo Kawanishi (Ritsu in Fruits Basket [2019])
