In a tale as old as time, a young office worker lives a mundane life and dies a lonely death. A god appears and offers him a chance at a new life in a new world. This isekai transfer doesn’t seem to be a random act of kindness, and our new isekai protagonist might have a more daunting task ahead of him. We’ll see how his new life treats him when A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai (Sozai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokoki) premieres sometime in October 2025.
Masuo Kinoko and Senbon Umishima released the original A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai light novel on January 31st, 2017. AlphaPolis has since published sixteen volumes.
A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai Cast
The new isekai protagonist, the obligatory elf waifu, and the obligatory dragon pet are as follows:
- Takeru Kamishiro — Nobunaga Shimazaki (Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen). An obscure office worker who was sent to another world as an agent of change.
- Brolite — Makoto Koichi (Reito Mizuhara from World’s End Harem). An ill-tempered elf warrior who was saved by Takeru.
- Bee — Ayasa Ito (Vivlos from Uma Musume Pretty Derby). The offspring of an ancient and powerful dragon.

A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai & Divine Meddling
Takeru Kamishiro’s quiet and mundane life came to an end at the age of 28. Truck-kun can’t be blamed this time; heart failure did him in. An otherworldly being who controls the Milky Way summoned him after his death to send him to another universe. This “god” informed him of Madeus’s plight and asked that he become a “drop” to create the “ripples” of change. Takeru is endowed with a whole slew of magical powers and gifts and sent to Madeus to fulfill the being’s wish.
Since the god couldn’t give Takeru a king’s ransom in pocket money, he gave Takeru the ability to identify items. He’ll use this to find valuable materials like special plants and ores to sell for profit. Before that, though, he’ll save a starving elf girl by feeding her the Japanese hot spring buns “God” made for him. That will be just one of many fateful meetings Takeru will have on his way to changing the world.
