This is not a drill—Love Live!’s first group μ’s will be reunited in the upcoming Love Live! Fes that will be held at the Saitama Super Arena from January 18 to 19, 2020.
It is not just them. The franchise’s other idol groups Aquors, Saint Snow, and Nijigasaki Academy’s Idol Appreciation Club will also be featured in the said event welcoming 2020. This big announcement was revealed during “Love Live! Series 9-Shūnen Happyōka” (9th Anniversary Presentation) event that happened on Thursday.
The said event was streamed as well as a promotional video celebrating the franchise’s 9th anniversary.
μ’s is without a doubt one of the most popular idol groups in Japan as their songs dominated the music charts. In 2015, the group was placed at number eight for the best-selling musical act in Japan. The upcoming event will be a grand reunion for μ’s after almost 4 years!
The last concert that they have held as a group was back on March 31 to April 1, 2016, titled as “μ’s Final Love Live!” that was held at the Tokyo Dome. Their final single titled “Moment Ring” that was released in March 2016 sold around 113,278 copies in just two weeks in Japan alone. The mentioned singled earned the Golden Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
To those who want to witness this lifetime event, an advance ticket lottery will be happening. Those who participate will have the three upcoming home video release of the franchise along with their purchase.
