Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero is shaping up to be a truly unique and fun anime adaptation.
The trailer, created by the animation studios Silver Link and Blade, highlights the Demon Lord. He is said to be a guy in a chibi form wearing a girls’ school uniform. His assistant, Zenia, apparently has a wardrobe issue of her own: whenever she’s not wearing a blue school swimsuit, she has a towel wrapped around her. Then there’s stuff about a legendary hero who is now a shut-in slob. His former enemy shows up to whip him back into shape, but people tend to lose their concentration when a hot demon lady in a towel walks across the screen.
There’s no definitive release date announced so far, so keep it here for more series updates.
Those interested in more series information may follow the official Twitter account, and bookmark the home page, which includes the manga covers. One of those covers might catch an eye or two. The key visual art is just as eye-catching, however.
The Demon Lord’s voice actress, Naomi Ozora, also tweeted about her excitement for the upcoming series.
The Demon Lord and the Former Hero Get Back Into Shape
Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero has a silly and enjoyable premise. The Demon Lord lost his battle against the legendary human hero Max, and was forced to sleep to recover his strength and preserve his life. Ten years later, the Demon Lord awakens and finds that his power has drastically reduced, and he has taken a chibi form, something adorable, rather than intimidating.
The Demon Lord and his assistant Zenia traveled to meet the hero Max to see how he had fared over the decade since their great battle. To his shock, Max had become a shut-in living in filth, a shadow of his former self. In a reduced state, somewhat akin to the Demon Lord himself, the Demon Lord decided to live with Max to help his old enemy become a formidable opponent once again.
