Being a magical girl isn’t easy. Every fight could be your last. However, someone must stop the forces of evil before their plans come to fruition and harm innocent people. A certain magical girl is almost too good at her job. Her opponents fall before they can do any damage, so the people she saves don’t even bother to watch. A specific magical girl fan is going to act. We’ll see what she does when Acro Trip premieres on October 2nd, 2024.
Yone Sawata released the original Acro Trip manga series from February 3rd, 2017, to December 1st, 2022. Shueisha published all five volumes in Ribon.
The great magical girl, her biggest fan, and the evil executive are as follows:
- Kaju Noichigo / Berry Blossom — Inori Minase (Itsuki Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets). A magical girl who protects Niigata City from evil.
- Chizuko Date — Miku Ito (Frenika from Sword Art Online: Alicization). A girl who admires Berry Blossom. She wants to make Berry Blossom more popular.
- Chroma — Nobunaga Shimazaki (Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen). The leader of the evil organization, Fossa Magna. He is unable to defeat Berry Blossom in battle.
Studio Voil has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Acro Trip. You can find additional series information and Key Visuals there. The magical girl has attractive acquaintances.
The Unpopular Magical Girl of Acro Trip
The magical girl Berry Blossom protects Niigata City from evil. She’s willing to risk her life to save her city. However, the risk level is low. Her sworn enemy isn’t dangerous. Chroma is the leader of the evil organization Fossa Magna. As clever and powerful as he might be, his enemies easily thwart his plans, and he’s sent packing after every battle. As such, the people of Niigata City don’t care about Berry Blossom much. Her fights aren’t exciting enough for them.
Chizuko Date is just a regular girl who admires Berry Blossom. She finds it unreasonable that no one else appreciates Berry’s efforts to save them. Chizuko is determined to shine a light on Berry’s exploits. This plan leads her to cross paths with Chroma. Her only option for making the hero more popular is to join Fossa Magna and make Chroma a better villain.
