KonoSuba’s season 3 OVAs are heading to Japanese theaters this March. To hype the OVA’s theatrical release, Kadokawa has released the main OVA trailer. KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World Season 3 -BONUS STAGE- will start its two-week theatrical run on March 14, 2025. A Blu-ray release follows on April 25, 2025. Studio Drive (who also animated KonoSuba‘s third season) will animate the double episode OVA. The trailer debuted the OVA’s theme song, “Growing Up,” performed by Machico.
KonoSuba‘s Season 3 OVAs & Franchise Info
KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! was a light novel written by Natsume Akatsuki (illustrated by Kurone Mishima). Originally a web novel serialized on Shōsetsuka ni Narō between December 2012 and December 2013, it has since been published in print by Kadokawa Shoten. The print version of the light novel was serialized in Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko imprint from October 2013 to May 2020 and was bundled into 17 volumes.
Three seasons of KonoSuba and a Megumin spin-off, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, have been released. Studio Deen animated the first seasons and their OVAs. J.C. Staff animated the follow-up movie, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! – Legend of Crimson. Studio Drive animated the Megumin spin-off anime, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, and KonoSuba’s third season.
The individual titles of KonoSuba’s season 3 OVAs are “Red Stream Explosion!” and “Nisemono Chui!” Crunchyroll streams all KonoSuba titles.
What’s KonoSuba About?
Kazuma Satou was the type of man most of us strive to be. A renowned gender equality activist, the lonely NEET met his end when he mistakenly thought a tractor ran him over. But his adventures did not end with his life. After death, Kazuma finds himself accosted by a useless, rude goddess, and because of the pettiness in his heart, he ends up adventuring in a new world with her. You’d think having a goddess by your side would bless you with luck, but one look at the party Kazuma ends up with disproves that. Yet despite his ill luck, he begrudgingly works to defeat the Demon Lord in often comedic ways.
