Koyoharu Gotouge’s Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) 12th complied book volume announced last year August 3rd, 2018, that it was receiving a televised anime adaptation for Spring 2019. The official website for Kimetsu no Yaiba streamed a new teaser for the series.
The video revealed that the first five episodes will be screening in theaters across Japan starting on March 29th, the film title is called Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kyoudai no Kizuna (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Bonds of Siblings). Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s official Twitter account had revealed the main cast and staff members and that the anime series will premiere on Japanese televisions in April.
The staff consists of:
- Director: Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X, Tales of Symphonia the Animation)
- Studio: Ufotable (Fate/ Zero, Tales of Zestiria the X, Kara no Kyoukai)
- Character Design: Akira Matsushima (Tales of Symphonia the Animation, Tales of Zestiria the X)
- Music Composers: Yuki Kajiura (Sword Art Online, Madoka Magica), and Go Shina (Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, God Eater)
The main cast consists of:
- Natsuki Hanae (Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul) as Tanjirou Kamado
- Akari Kitou (Kaho Hinata from BlendS) as Nezuko Kamado
- Hiro Shimono (Conny Springer from Attack on Titan) as Zenitsu Agatsuma
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sōma Yukihira from Food Wars) as Inosuke Hashibira
- Takahiro Sakurai (Griffith from Berserk) as Giyū Tomioka

Gotouge debuted Kimetsu no Yaiba in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine in February 2016, the manga’s 14th volume was published on January 4th 2019.
Kimetsu no Yaiba synopsis:
Since ancient times, rumors have abounded of man-eating demons lurking in the woods. Because of this, the local townsfolk never venture outside at night. Legend has it that a Demon Slayer also roams the night, hunting down these bloodthirsty demons. For young Tanjiro, these rumors will soon to become his harsh reality…
Ever since the death of his father, Tanjiro has taken it upon himself to support his family. Although their lives may be hardened by tragedy, they’ve found happiness. But that ephemeral warmth is shattered one day when Tanjiro finds his family slaughtered and the lone survivor, his sister Nezuko, turned into a demon. To his surprise, however, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and thought… Thus begins Tanjiro’s request to fight demons and turn his sister human again.
