Cultured otaku unite, for Iyapan has returned! Iya na Kao Sare Nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai (I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear) isn’t a typical series. Like Colorful and I Tried Asking in Dogeza, the panty-thin plot is just a protagonist asking to see girls’ panties. This cultural series has inspired artwork exhibitions in both Akihabara and Cafe ASAN. We’ll see our intrepid protagonists ask to see a girl’s panties when Iyapan R (Returns) premieres sometime in Spring 2026.

40hara released the original Iyapan doujinshi in December 2015. Ryo Uehara’s novel adaptation came out in March 2017 in the Bishojo Bunko imprint. Uwan Pictures’ anime adaptation premiered on August 13th, 2018, with a second season on November 23rd, 2019. Shin Araki and Kiddjiro’s manga adaptation debuted in May 2019. Shueisha published two volumes in Young Jump Comics.
Iyapan R Cast
Three of the cute waifus who lift their skirts are as follows:
- Chitose Ito — Shizuka Ishigami (Laufen from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). Chitose is a dutiful maid with a perverted master.
- Saki Kurose — Ai Orikasa (Quatre Raberba Winner from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing). Saki is a certain kind of heavy-handed queen.
- Valmina Dia Nox — Hikaru Iida (Character from Oshi no Ko). Valmina is a demon queen.

Let’s Ask for Panty Shots in Iyapan R
This series has a very simple premise: unnamed protagonists ask their close female friends to lift their skirts. It’s a different protagonist most of the time, though we can assume Chitose’s young master returns since she’s here in the third season. These cultured protagonists who serve as our ideal points of view approach their close friends with a simple request: “Show me your panties.”
For instance, Chitose’s young master is a genius of a kind. He’s the head of a prestigious family with perfect grades. However, he gets the sudden urge to see Chitose’s panties. She is less than inclined, but his requests break her down. She lifts her dress and gives him a disgusted look while he sees her pure white panties. Later, an idol’s manager approaches his talent with a similar request. She takes off her stage panties and grumbles at the manager while lifting her skirt. These men are truly cultured heroes. I can’t wait to see who has the guts to approach a demon queen to see her panties.
