Yen Press’ fantasy ecchi manga Ishuzoku Reviewers has gotten the green light for an anime adaptation.
Ishuzoku (Interspecies) Reviewers is written by author Amahara, with art by masha. The series follows human adventurer Stank and elf adventurer Zelf as they run the Yoruno Gloss Review. Here they review, rank, and rate the skills of every red light district monster girl for their (and other adventurers) knowledge and pleasure. Add in the antics of mostly innocent angel Krim and hotheaded avian barmaid Meidri, and the good times never stop coming!
While Ishuzoku Reviewers has been available in Japan since 2016, the manga was licensed by Yen Press for English audiences only in March of 2018 and their first volume debuted in November 2018. With only two volumes to its name, it’s amazing to see a manga get an anime adaptation so soon after its release. So far, it looks like the adaptation is in good hands, with studio Passione handling production, and Yuuki Ogawa of Miru Tights and FLCL Progressive fame as the director of the series. (For more on Miru Tights, check out J-List’s episode reviews.) Rounding out the staff is Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou) on series composition and Makoto Uno (Seikon no Qwaser) on character design.
For those that can’t wait to see more of what Ishuzoku Reviewers has to offer, you can check out the anime’s official website, and check out J-List for more ecchi titles to tide you over in the meantime. For those interested in reading the source material, Ishuzoku Reviewers first volume is available at good local bookstores, with the second volume slated for release on July 23rd of this year. For those who can’t wait to see the antics of our adventurers and monster girls galore, you’ll have to wait until Winter 2020 to see Ishuzoku Reviewers put the beast in the bestiary.
