A new isekai series is upon us. The unique — and steamy — Isekai Onsen Paradise (Meito “Isekai no Yu” Kaitaku-ki: AraFo Onsen Mania Tensei-saki wa, Nonbiri Onsen Tengoku Deshita) gives an onsen fanatic his just rewards. A man dies in one world and is reborn into a fantasy world with nice onsens to find. This series has already premiered, but let’s get our feet wet with the trailer anyway.
Konao Menrui began publishing his Isekai Onsen Paradise light novel series to Novel Up Plus on September 6th, 2019. Hobby Japan obtained the publishing rights and hired the artist Yoshitake to adapt the series to the light novel format. This new run began on August 19th, 2021, with three volumes currently available in the HJ Novels imprint.
Our water-logged isekai protagonist, his goddess messenger, and a cute elf are as follows:
- Yoshizo Yukawa — Shohei Tokiwa (First lead role). An onsen fanatic who enjoys finding new onsen to enjoy who died doing what he loved and got a new life to really immerse himself in his passion.
- Mayudama — Marie Miyake (Nana Abe from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls). One of Inari’s (the god) messengers. She guided Yoshizo to another world and bathed with him in an onsen.
- Ririumu — Ria Koito (VTuber Mikeneko). An elf who encountered Yoshizo and Mayudama while they bathed then assumed they were demons.

Isekai Onsen Paradise Enjoys Open Air Bathing With Cute Magical Waifus
Isekai Onsen Paradise is shaping up to be more of an easy-going isekai series. Yoshizo Yukawa is an avid onsen enthusiast. He enjoys finding new onsen and partaking in their warmth. Yoshizo’s latest hunt for an onsen was a more selfless endeavor. He searched for a hidden onsen that would revitalize a village’s economy. This fateful hunt ended with Yoshizo tumbling off the side of a cliff.
Yoshizo’s tale did not end there, however. A hidden shrine occupied by one of the god Inari’s fox messengers appeared and reincarnated this onsen lover into a new world. As overjoyed as he was to be alive in a new world, his discovery of a new onsen led him to pick up right where he left off. To make it a perfect isekai tale, the cute fox girl Mayudama joined him for a bath. It’s during this relaxing moment that a cute elf girl interrupts them.
