The Rentaro family is coming back next year! The production company for The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really Really Love You (Hyakkano) announced that the anime’s third season is in production. Hyakkano’s third season is expected to premiere sometime in 2026. Alongside the announcement, the production company released a visual, a trailer, and two character visuals! The latter introduced Rentaro’s newest girlfriends, Chiyo Iin and Nadeshiko Yamato (Naddy). With that announcement, Rentaro has officially had more partners in three seasons than most people have over their lifetime. Truly, this dude is the man of culture.
Hyakkano’s season three announcement didn’t share any news on the anime’s production staff or voice cast.
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Details
Rikito Nakamura writes the Hyakkano manga, which features illustrations by Yukiko Nozawa. Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump has serialized the series since December 2019. The manga currently boasts 23 tankobon volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the Hyakkano manga in North America.
Bibury Animation Studios, known for their work on The Quintessential Quintuplets, animated both past seasons of Hyakkano. Hiraku Sato directed both seasons. The anime’s voice cast includes:

Hyakkano Synopsis
An old saying goes, “No pain, no gain.” Few people understand the true meaning behind those words better than Rentaro Aijo. All Aijo-kun ever wanted was a loving and supportive relationship. Yet, despite being the kind of guy who would move mountains for anyone he cares about, he has endured countless rejections. Well, that’s not entirely accurate — Rentaro has faced a hundred rejections!
Desperate to change his lot in love, Rentaro visits a shrine and prays for a brighter future. But where most prayers fall on deaf ears, Aijo-kun’s pleas are answered by none other than the god of love! And to Rentaro’s disbelief, not only will he soon meet his soulmate, but he’ll meet a hundred of them! But if he fails to make any of them happy, they’ll both head to the grave. However, since Rentaro embodies the phrase “mama ain’t raise no b***h,” he endeavors to fill the lives of the 100 ladies that are coming his way with nothing but love.

Say you want to live the 100 Girlfriends experience, but lack Rentaro’s rizz and the gods don’t love you. What is a lonely weeb supposed to do in that situation? Well, if my advice is worth anything, you should do whatever it is that Tatsuji did in Pity Party in My Pants. It won’t get you a hundred girlfriends, but it might reward you with unforgettable revelry (unless your charisma is zero — then you probably get a felony or two).
